A Slower Brief

The first conversation is not about style. We ask how mornings start, where bags land, who cooks, and which rooms are actually used after nine at night. Those answers do more than a folder of references.

Moodboards are useful later, once the plan is honest. Early images tend to describe a feeling the client already has, not the constraints of the building.

A slower brief also protects the budget. When we know which rooms matter most, we can spend there and keep secondary spaces quiet and well made rather than half-finished and decorative.
